Christopher is no stranger to the big stage. In May of last year, he gave his debut performance in Carnegie Hall with the New York Sinfonietta under conductor Paul Hostetter. Christopher has performed throughout Ireland appearing as guest soloist with the Dublin Youth Orchestra, The RIAM Symphony Orchestra and Kildare County Orchestra.

He is also an accomplished composer, having had his works premiered by the RTÉ ConTempo String Quartet and Kirkos Ensemble. In May of this year, he was elected chairperson of the Irish Composer’s Collective, engaging him in the staging and production of annual festivals and monthly concerts of new works by Irish composers.

In 2016, two of Christopher’s works were selected for premiere performance in both London and New York. His setting of Richard Swanson’s poem Baghdad Email was debuted in both London (Guildhall School of Music) and New York (Juilliard School of Music) as part of the theatrical production Drums and Guns. His tone poem for solo piano Shadows was premiered in London at The Princess Alexandra Hall, Royal Over-seas League in July 2016.

Committed to writing and performing his own music, Christopher most recently gave the premiere of his Sonata for clarinet and piano at the RIAM in a masterclass with the world renowned clarinetist and composer Jörg Widmann.
