Back by popular demand, an evening with the internationally acclaimed performer and composer, Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin, who has developed a unique Irish piano style exploring the sounds of traditional and classical music with occasional forays into jazz and other world music forms.
Following the 2017 sell-out concert, Mícheál Ó Súílleabháin is joined by outstanding traditional musicians including sean-nós singer Iarla Ó Lionáird (of The Gloaming), traditional percussionist Mel Mercier, uilleann piper Pádraic Keane, and fiddle players Liz Doherty and Zoë Conway.
Programme includes works by Carolan, Vivaldi, Geminiani, Ó Riada, and Ó Súílleabháín (including Francesco Walks for traditional fiddles and orchestra, and the first performance of FILL ARÍS – new orchestral sean-nós settings of the poetry of Seán Ó Riordáin).
