    Merry Christmas Sing-Along

A joyful, humbug-free afternoon to warm even your chilliest cockles with a stocking-full of seasonal favourites and a chance to sing your heart out accompanied by the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra in party mood! The  ever-irrepressible Christopher Bell is on the podium. (Don’t let on, but we suspect he’s also planning to make the fashion statement of the season. Be there, or miss out!)

Festive frolics aplenty will get you in the Christmas spirit with a sparkling collection of popular seasonal classics.

Leroy Anderson’s A Christmas Festival Overture, a glorious mash-up of seasonal jewels sets the tone for an evening of celebration and merry-making, of waltzing with Émile Waldteufel’s carefree skaters and taking a ride on Philip Lane’s light-as-air Sleighbell Serenade.

No party would be complete without a sing-along, so clear your throats, fill your lungs and prepare to cheer on the reindeer with the claret-coloured nose, deck the halls to your heart’s content and take some playful penguins home for tea. Well, it’s Christmas, after all.

Oh! And did we mention John Williams’ magical Suite from a film you might have seen (more than once) Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone? It really is the season of giving!
