Join tenor Gavan Ring and violinist Patrick Rafter, two of the brightest stars in Irish classical music, for a unique evening celebrating the genial collaborations of the great Irish tenor John McCormack and the Austrian-American virtuoso violinist Fritz Kreisler.

The Kreisler McCormack duo is fondly remembered as one of the most successful recording and performing relationships of the 20th century. Between 1914 and 1924, they joined together for multiple performances and recordings and the ease with which the pair collaborated is evident in every measure of the music they worked on together.

Along with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra and conductor Anna Sułkowska-Migoń, Patrick and Gavan present a memorable concert inspired by these great musicians which will include sensational duos including Handel’s Ombra mai fu and Massenet’s Élégie, alongside some of Kreisler’s beloved works for violin and romantic opera and song including Gounod’s Salut! demeure chaste et pure and Leoncavallo’s Mattinata. The programme also includes orchestral favourites including Mascagni’s Intermezzo (Cavalleria Rusticana), Verdi’s Overture La Forza Del Destino and Smetana’s Ma Vlast: Moldau (Vltava)
