In 2021 the lights dimmed in the West End and on Broadway in honour of the late Stephen Sondheim. A master of his craft, he redefined the sound of Broadway with his signature blend of sharp-witted lyrics and poignant melodies. With a career spanning over 70 years, he is one of the most influential lyricists and composers of musical theatre. Starring Louise Dearman (Wicked), Holly-Anne Hull (Old Friends), Bradley Jaden (The Phantom of the Opera), Jeremy Secomb (Les Misérables) with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra and conductor Michael England, this concert will explore Sondheim’s best known and loved works to include Sweeney Todd, Follies, Into the Woods, Company, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum and A Little Night Music.
